Who We Are?

About Us

At Los Angeles Book Campaign, we are passionate about books and the transformative power they hold. Based in the heart of the cultural melting pot that is Los Angeles, our mission is to create, support, and promote literary works that reflect the rich diversity of our city.

Established by a group of dedicated book lovers and community activists, Los Angeles Book Campaign is committed to fostering a love of reading and literature in our local community. We strive to inspire readers of all ages by supporting local authors and bookshops, organizing literary events, and launching book campaigns that highlight the power of storytelling.

Our team believes in the importance of representation in literature. We work tirelessly to bring to the fore voices that often go unheard, stories that are frequently untold. By doing so, we hope to contribute to the growth of a more inclusive literary landscape in Los Angeles and beyond.

Over the years, we’ve had the privilege of working with an array of talented authors, publishers, and literary organizations. Together, we’ve launched successful book campaigns, hosted enriching literary events, and, most importantly, put countless books into the hands of eager readers.

But our work doesn’t stop there. We continually strive to expand our reach and impact, promoting the love of reading and supporting the literary arts in every way possible.

At Los Angeles Book Campaign, we believe that every story deserves to be told and every voice deserves to be heard. Join us on this literary journey as we continue to celebrate, promote, and advocate for the power of the written word.

We are Los Angeles Book Campaign – creating, inspiring, and transforming through the power of literature.

Extraordinary Experiences

One of the most extraordinary experiences at the Los Angeles Book Campaign was the launch of our “Citywide Read and Write” initiative. Aimed at fostering a deeper connection within our community through shared reading experiences, the event brought together Los Angeles’ vast community of book lovers in a unique and unforgettable way.

The event started as a dream – to see the entire city of Los Angeles engaging with the same book at the same time. We selected a compelling novel written by a local author, capturing the essence of our city’s rich, multicultural tapestry.

We collaborated with local libraries, schools, and bookstores, distributing thousands of copies across the city. Digital versions were made freely accessible on our website to ensure everyone could participate, regardless of their economic situation.

The response was overwhelming. From Palisades to Pasadena, from San Fernando to South L.A., individuals and groups dove into the pages of the chosen book. Impromptu reading groups popped up in parks and cafés, while lively discussions unfolded online.

The culmination of the event was a city-wide interactive session with the author. Streamed live from a historic venue downtown, it gathered thousands of Angelenos – both in-person and virtually. They asked questions, shared their interpretations, and listened to the author’s insights. The interaction illuminated the book in surprising ways, creating a collective experience that resonated across the city.

This “Citywide Read and Write” initiative stands as a testament to the power of literature to unite people, spark dialogue, and foster community. It remains one of the most extraordinary experiences we’ve had at the Los Angeles Book Campaign, a shining example of our mission to celebrate, promote, and advocate for the power of the written word.
